Being Straight-Edge

I have been straight edge for over 6 years. It used to be where everyone would talk bad about everyone who wasn't straight edge, but over the years almost all my friends have sold out and party every night now. I've realized that most people become straight edge because its the cool thing to do, and time will sort them out. You dont become straight edge to be cool, you do it for a more pure lifestyle, for yourself, no one else. Straight edge isn't a gang, althought there are straight edge familys, crews, and brotherhoods. If someone you know sells out, forget it, who cares it's there life and they look stupid for basically admiting they only did it because it was the cool thing at the time. Out of all my friends, probably over 50 used to be straight edge, now i can count probably less than 10 that are. Im still straight edge because being dumb and not in my right state of mind isnt my style. I want to go places and live a healthy life.
